Couple things on this one. Angela's entry time is listed in short course yards. If you convert that time to long course meters, her real entry time was 6:39.35. (If you are looking, here is the converter tool you can use too: https://swimswam.com/swimming-times-conversion-tool/?type=classic)
If you are unfamiliar with an "IM" race, that stands for individual medley. 100 yards fly, 100 yards back, 100 yards breast, and 100 yards free. Many swimmers consider this race one of the toughest because you are swimming a longer distance and you have to be decent at all four strokes.
Angela qualified for this race a couple weeks earlier at a local meet and then cut 43 seconds in the prelims. That alone was impressive, but then when she had to swim the same race again only hours later, she cut another 5.57 seconds and finished in second place.
Out of all the races and results, I think this one was the most surprising for us. I mean, she just barely qualified and then cut so much time bringing home a silver. Impressive.
