Pool: Plaster

It was starting to feel like today would never get here.  Mother nature and our schedules seemed to align their forces to prevent the next step with the pool from happening.  Once we missed the window to finish the pool during swimming season last year, we weren't actually in that big of a hurry to finish things up.  Once the pool is complete, our utility bills go up quite a bit.

That being said... I still want the project done.

Today one of the final tasks moved from pending to done.  The plaster (quartz) guys showed up and spent the day coating our pool.  The more exciting thing was that as soon as they finished, we started filling the pool.  I am not sure how long filling will take, but 38,000 gallons is bound to take a little while.

Both hoses are currently running on full!

I love the guy mixing the plaster and quartz.  He just grabbed a bunch of plastic and duct tape to make a poncho.

It was very exciting when this truck pulled up to the house.

WORK HAS STARTED!

Starting to dry.  All the holes on the bottom are the in-floor cleaning system.

Filling the pool has begun!!  (Yes... we did remove the errant newspaper before the water got to it.)

This is going to take a while...

The kids were very excited when they got home from school to find water going in.
