Greece 2017: Volcano

On our one day tour of Santorini, we were given a choice.  Option 1, take the bus over to the beach and swim in the ocean.  Option 2, hop on a boat over to the volcano.  We opted for option 2.

The trip was 30 minutes on a boat, swim for 30 minutes in the rusty water, 30 minutes on a boat to get back.  It is considered good luck to take the rusty mud and rub it on your face.  We skipped that.  Seemed yucky to me.

Look... a big rock! (I thought it was pretty)

An old boat next to our pretty new boat.

The brown around the water line is rust.

Right in the middle of the picture is a woman waving her hands in the air.  The woman is the lovely Monika.

Little church on top of the island.  I wonder if this is where Mamma Mia was filmed.
