1:20 PM Update:
Metro has confirmed there is a runaway rail car heading north on the railroad tracks near Valley View and Harmon. Union Pacific is attempting to stop the rail car but the brakes are not functioning properly. Metro is working to block vehicles from crossing the tracks in the rail car's path. Eyewitness News will have the latest.--C
1:20 PM Update:
A runaway rail car has been stopped near the south 215 where it intersects with I-15. Union Pacific officials attempted to stop the rail car around 9 a.m. but the brakes were not functioning properly. The car was traveling around 10 miles-per-hour and was eventually stopped without incident. Eyewitness News will have the latest.
